These terms explain how JS Plates handles order requests made through this website. They are here so the order process, payment, delivery and cancellation position are clear before you send a request.

Order requests

The plate builder lets you send JS Plates the details of the plate you would like. Sending the form is an order request, not automatic acceptance of an order. We will review the request and may contact you to confirm details before anything goes ahead. A contract is only formed when the order is accepted and payment arrangements have been confirmed.

Prices and payment

Prices shown in the builder are guide prices based on the options selected. The final price, payment method and fulfilment details will be confirmed before payment. The website does not take card payments.

If a displayed price is clearly wrong, or if a requested option needs a different price, we will tell you before asking for payment. You can choose whether to continue.

Plate text and customer checks

You are responsible for checking the plate text, spelling, spacing, style, size and any notes before confirming an order. The preview is a visual guide and may not exactly match the finished item, screen colour or material finish.

Customers are responsible for confirming that their chosen plate configuration is suitable for its intended use. JS Plates does not make claims on this website that products are road legal, DVLA approved, MOT approved, BS AU 145e compliant or approved for public-road use.

Custom and made-to-order items

Plates are usually made to the text and options requested by the customer. Once production has started, changes or cancellations may not be possible unless we agree otherwise.

Cancellation and returns

You can cancel before production starts by contacting JS Plates as soon as possible. If your order has not yet been accepted, you can withdraw the request.

Because personalised or custom-made goods are made to your specification, cancellation rights may not apply once the order has been accepted and production has started, unless the item is faulty, damaged or not as described.

Your statutory rights are not affected. If something is wrong with your order, contact us promptly with your order reference and clear photos where relevant.

Problems with an order

If an item arrives damaged, faulty or different from what was confirmed, contact JS Plates as soon as possible. We may ask for photos so we can check the issue and agree the next step.

Collection, postage and delivery

Collection and postage options are confirmed before payment. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by supplier, production or courier delays. If postage is used, you are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

If a courier reports an item as delivered but it has not arrived, contact us quickly so the delivery can be checked. We may need photos, tracking details or confirmation of the delivery address to help resolve a delivery issue.

Refusing or cancelling an order

JS Plates may refuse or cancel an order request if details are incomplete, payment is not received, materials are unavailable, the request cannot be fulfilled, or the order raises a practical, legal or safety concern.

Website availability

We try to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update the website, product details, prices or policies from time to time.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. JS Plates is not responsible for losses caused by incorrect details supplied by the customer, delays outside our control or use of a product for an unsuitable purpose.

Governing law

These terms are intended for customers ordering from JS Plates in the United Kingdom. If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, it will be handled under the laws of Northern Ireland, unless mandatory consumer protections give you rights in another UK jurisdiction.
